Their love story began in our hometown when they met in middle school. Despite being in different friend groups and rarely crossing paths, fate smiled upon them in high school when they found themselves in the same Studio Art class. They sat next to each other, and Ramneet always showed his interest with sweet compliments and playful remarks.
Interestingly, that same year, they also 'got married' on Facebook, adding a mysterious twist to their relationship. They kept up this playful status for several years. After they graduated, they lost touch once again. However, in July 2013, they met at a friend’s party and spent an incredibly enjoyable evening together. Since then, they started texting and talking, and their friend groups merged into one. Their favorite places to meet might have been quite ordinary, but to them, Applebee’s and Quaker Steak & Lube were special — so romantic!
And then, on October 10, 2013, at Quaker Steak & Lube, over a plate of chicken wings, Ramneet asked Brittany to be his girlfriend. Their senior year was filled with unforgettable moments — they attended prom together, graduated together, and felt sad when summer almost ended, and they had to part ways for college. Ramneet was heading to RIT, and Brittany would be attending SUNY Brockport.
Throughout their first year of college, everything pretty much stayed the same, and they still spent a lot of time together. However, at the end of Ramneet’s first year at RIT, he realized he wanted to make a change. He was accepted to Ohio State and would start there in the fall.
They knew they would make it work, and long-distance would undoubtedly be the most challenging time of their lives. But they made it! Ramneet made trips back home, they spent summers together, and while it wasn’t easy, their relationship only grew stronger.
In the spring of 2019, he finally graduated! They moved in together in 2019 and traveled extensively. On April 17, 2021, Ramneet finally asked Brittany to be his wife!!! It was truly the happiest day of her life. They can’t wait to take the next step in their love story and say 'I do' with all their favorite people surrounding them.
Their wedding ceremony was a unique blend of cultural traditions and tender moments. The Sikh ceremony took place at the Brooklake Country Club, a beautiful venue in Florham Park, New Jersey.
This exquisite location added an atmosphere of elegance and romance to their ceremony. The Sikh wedding, embodying deep traditions and cultural richness, was encapsulated in the 'Anand Karaj, ' symbolizing joy and happiness on this important day.
The 'Lavan' rituals added profound meaning to the ceremony, emphasizing that they were embarking on their shared life journey.
This day was more than just a wedding. It was a celebration of love, family, and long-awaited moments of happiness. As they enter this new chapter of their lives, they do so surrounded by the love and support of everyone they hold dear. Their wedding story has become a shining example of great love and unity
